PROJECT ONE- Portraits
Eighth Graders see themselves in a totally different light, as they apply non-traditional mediums to photographs of themselves in an effort to accentuate the various tones/values of their faces.
PROJECT FOUR - Perspective
Projects two and three were taught by my student teacher. Students took these pieces home to share with their families. However, subsequent projects were taught by myself and are showcased here. The schedule during this project was such that the students only had days to complete it before our art show, (see the events link), still the students aptly applied their lessons in perspective and did well. I'm sure you will agree.
PROJECT FIVE
Students have the opportunity to pour all that they have learned in visual arts and their hearts into this final project - turning a sculptural piece into a reflective work that expresses what is held within. These pieces were photographed from various vantage points to hopefully convey what each student wanted to say to you - the viewer. Many students incorporated mixed media and poetry. Enjoy and share.
