Y.E.A. 2015
There was a threat of rain this year, but our "parade" was not to be rained upon. We also had a change in venue that was overwhelmingly welcomed by parents. There were many comments about how easy it was to see everything, the children were safe and were able to work off energy in the play area, the sweet voices and the music of the band and orchestra performers could be heard throughout the park... As always, it was wonderful. Here's a link to the Y.E.A. facebook page where you can view many more pictures https://www.facebook.com/YoungEvanstonArtists
Our Grand Finale 2014-15
This year's collaboration project between visual arts and music was reflective of Dorian mode music. Using the music "Dorian Variation", art students were able to offer a variation of themselves, sometimes contracting the images using color and/or emotional themes.
Below is the introduction of the artwork and music of the evening. Enjoy!
